Welcome to ProgDog, where my passion for dog training comes to life. Since establishing the business in 2016, I've dedicated myself to helping people train and raise their beautiful puppies, perfect crucial dog training skills such as faultless recalls through my ultra recall training programme, teaching tricks and excel in training their dogs to become incredible scent detection dogs. My methods are not only effective but also supportive, fun, rewarding, motivational, and practical.
The love of my life is my dog, Maggie. She is a six year old rescue Golden Retriever x Labrador who adores training and countryside walks. Her incredible recall skills, vast array of tricks and impressive scentwork ability (and highly entertaining zoomies) never fail to impress people. At first, Maggie was very scared and nervous of a number of things in life, as well as being extremely distracted by the outside world. Now she is a confident, happy and extremely well behaved girl, inside and out; I could not be prouder of the dog she has become since I rehomed and trained her.
You could say that I am addicted to dog training, haha! I continually keep up to date with the latest techniques and skills and undertake lots of regular courses that I am not only interested in but also feel would be of most benefit to my clients and the dog training skills they need for their dog(s).
With Maggie's assistance, I've become a qualified World Scent Dog Association (WSDA) Instructor and Level 1 Scent Detection Competition Judge. I've gained and honed my dog training expertise through qualifications from diverse and renowned institutions such as Sarah Whitehead's Clever Dog Company and the internationally recognised School of Canine Science (SoCS). I am proud to have achieved official Certified status as a Puppy Lab Instructor (puppy specialist), Assistance Dog Instructor (for owner-trained assistance dogs), Trick Training Instructor and Real Dog Yoga Instructor (for fearful and reactive dogs).
My rich background experience extends from rescue centre work, vet procedural training and person-centred coaching, through to assistance dog training with a national charity.
It's an absolute privilege to witness puppies and dogs grow into exceptional lifelong companions. My ultimate passion is helping you achieve the rewarding, enjoyable, and stress-free life you dream of with your dog.
