I just adore dogs and cannot think of a time when dogs have not been my obsession. I’ve been working professionally with dogs for over a decade, all across Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond. I don't go in for all that "show them who's boss" nonsense. I believe in making training fun for dogs AND their humans.

My Own Dog, Maggie:
My own dog Maggie proves that the proof is in the pudding. She's a rescue Golden Retriever/Lab mix who came to me as a nervous wreck. She couldn't focus on anything for more than three seconds and was a nightmare to walk. Watching her transform into a happy, confident dog who is so incredibly easy to take anywhere with me at any time is proof that good training works. I learned the hard way what works and what doesn't and that's what I bring to my training programmes.
Questions People Always Ask Me
"Isn't my dog too old to train?" Not even remotely. That old "can't teach an old dog new tricks" saying is nonsense. I've worked with 12-year-old dogs who picked up new skills faster than some puppies. As long as your dog's still breathing, they can learn.
"My dog goes bonkers whenever he sees another dog/squirrel/leaf blowing in the wind. Can online training help?" This is exactly why home training works so well! In a class, your dog's already over threshold and it can be really hard for them to learn. At home, we start in a calm environment where your dog can actually use their brain. We gradually work up to the more exciting/terrifying stuff.
